After having read many articles on televangelists, accusations and counter accusations, Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggart, Juanita Bynum, Peter Poppof the list of the controversial televangelists is endless.
Some are unknown to the 'unsaved' but they still manage to line their pockets with tithes and offerings every Sunday. What puzzles me though is that their following trancsends most socials boundaries. You find amongst them doctors, lawyers and even politicians. I most confess though that the larger portion of them is made up of the poor, uneducated and those who are not entirely sophisticated.
Let me make this clear, I want to give the pentecostals a chance on this Blog, I want to give them space to answer our questions about their beliefs. Our argument here is not about the existence of God, rather it is about the specifics of Pentecostal Theology. Skeptics lets try to be civil here, calling the faithful idiots will not help us to get the answers we want.
To avoid people who talk too much every entry must be limited to 15lines. Benny Hinn, Td Jakes, Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer... they all enjoy a large audience and unparalled devotion from their followers. Our argument is not about christianity, but about their theology...
TONGUES, TITHES, HEALINGS& MIRACLES, PROSPERITY, SLAYING IN THE SPIRIT
Aren't these prechers just clever conmen who are out to make an easy buck by deceiving the credulous, the many gullible people who also fall for schemes like- make $20000 in a week?
Can any of these guys show us a blind man whose eyes were opened. Or maybe a man who had no leg and it grew miraculously.
Why is it all the miracles these men do are only for internal sicknesses for which we can see no physical evidence.
Why doesn't Benny Hinn visit the Cancer Units and heal the whole ward?
And if these Tongues are real why don't they speak fluently rather than stammering things that sound like gibberish.
